Nintendo fans are in for a treat with the upcoming release of Super Mario Party Jamboree for the Nintendo Switch. The game was announced during the latest Nintendo Direct event and is set to launch on October 17. Super Mario Party Jamboree promises to be the biggest Mario Party game yet.
It features a sprawling island resort setting with five new game boards. These include Rainbow Galleria, a multi-story shopping mall with flash sales offering stars at half price, and Roll ‘Em Raceway, where turbo dice rolls allow for fast-paced action. The game also brings back classic boards from previous Mario Party titles.
Mario’s Rainbow Castle from the original Mario Party and Western Land from Mario Party 2 will be available for players to revisit.
Super Mario Party returns
With over 110 minigames, Super Mario Party Jamboree offers a wide variety of challenges.
Some minigames will require players to shake their Joy-Con controllers, while others will have them tilting the controllers to navigate obstacles. For those with a Nintendo Switch Online membership, the game introduces an exciting new mode called Koopathlon. In this competitive online feature, up to 20 players can compete against each other in thrilling minigame races.
Super Mario Party Jamboree marks the first main entry in the series since Super Mario Party, which was released six years ago. It also follows Mario Party Superstars, a 2021 title that updated classic boards from the Nintendo 64 era. With its expansive content and variety of gameplay options, Super Mario Party Jamboree is shaping up to be a must-have title for Nintendo Switch owners this holiday season.
Fans can look forward to experiencing the ultimate Mario Party adventure when the game launches on October 17.
