Maxis and Singtel launch Paragon platform

Paragon Launch

Maxis has partnered with Singtel to bring its 5G, multi-cloud orchestration platform, Paragon, to Malaysia. This collaboration aims to provide on-demand edge computing services to enterprises, making it easier for businesses to create network slices and deploy mission-critical 5G applications. The platform will give Maxis’ enterprise customers access to low-latency computing, GPU-as-a-service, and storage solutions.

These services are made possible by multi-access edge computing (MEC) capabilities that process data at the edge. Maxis CEO Goh Seow Eng said, “The partnership addresses customer needs by offering a unified 5G platform that simplifies orchestration across network and cloud environments.

This improves access, speed, and flexibility for businesses in managing 5G and cloud computing services.”

Singtel Digital InfraCo CEO Bill Chang noted that the Paragon platform helps operators monetize 5G infrastructure faster by reducing the complexities they face in delivering and scaling 5G use cases. The platform has already been deployed in four Asia Pacific markets, showing its wide applicability and potential for driving innovation. The collaboration between Maxis and Singtel is expected to accelerate digital transformation for businesses in Malaysia.

By leveraging the Paragon platform, enterprises will be able to take advantage of 5G-Advanced technology and edge and multi-cloud computing more easily. This partnership is a significant step forward in making advanced 5G services more accessible to businesses in Malaysia. It also demonstrates the potential for collaboration between telecom operators to drive innovation and support the adoption of new technologies.
