Microsoft launches AI-powered Designer app

AI Designer

Microsoft has launched its AI-powered Designer app for iOS and Android. The app allows users to create and edit images using various templates and AI tools. Designer offers features like restyling images, creating collages, and adding decorative AI-generated borders.

Users can also remove backgrounds, erase objects, and add text to their images. The app includes an avatar creator explicitly designed for mobile devices. Users can create custom emojis, clip art, wallpapers, monograms, and more by simply describing what they want.

Microsoft has integrated Designer across its suite of applications. Users can access Designer through Copilot in Word and PowerPoint to create images directly within these programs.

Designer app integrates with Microsoft tools

Windows 11 Photos app now includes Designer features like erasing objects, removing backgrounds, auto-cropping, and adding filters. These features will soon be available in Microsoft Edge as well. Designer comes with 15 free daily boosts for creating or editing AI-powered images.

Copilot Pro subscribers get 100 boosts per day to use advanced AI features. The app is available for free in more than 80 languages. It can be used as a standalone app on Windows or through Copilot in Microsoft 365 apps.

Microsoft is committed to responsible AI use and has implemented processes to mitigate adverse outcomes and prevent misuse. The company continues strengthening its safety systems to create a safer user environment.
