Salesforce and Workday announce AI partnership

AI Partnership

Salesforce and Workday have announced a partnership to create an artificial intelligence (AI) assistant that will help with tasks such as onboarding and human resources. The CEOs of both companies discussed the new venture in an interview on Wednesday. Marc Benioff, CEO of Salesforce, said that the strength of the partnership comes from the combination of their large data sets.

“AI is all about data, and if you have access to the data, then you can have phenomenal AI,” he said. Carl Eschenbach, CEO of Workday, pointed out that Salesforce and Workday have three of the most important data sets in the enterprise: employee data, customer data, and financial data. He also said that the new program will benefit customers by allowing them to access services without having to switch between platforms.

“Through this new partnership and the data sharing we can do together, whether you’re in Slack, whether you’re in Workday, or whether you’re actually in Salesforce, you can actually stay in those platforms and get access to each of the data sets that we have,” Eschenbach said.

Salesforce and Workday AI collaboration

The collaboration is an effort by two major tech companies to use their vast data resources to provide advanced AI capabilities that will streamline business processes and improve customer experiences.

The AI assistant will be able to communicate with workers in natural language and will have human-like comprehension. It will automate time-consuming tasks, offer personalized support, and provide data-driven insights to help employees work more efficiently. Research shows that companies in various industries are finding AI useful for analyzing data, predicting trends, and automating tasks.

The technology can help businesses develop more sophisticated and personalized marketing strategies. A report stated that for younger buyers and Generation Z decision-makers, providing frictionless and personalized digital experiences is important, especially in the current uncertain economic environment. The new collaboration between Salesforce and Workday aims to use AI to improve employee experiences and drive significant business value through efficiency and innovation.

The AI-powered services are expected to be available to customers later this year, with showcases planned for upcoming conferences.
